No show this week
Tuesday, October 19th, 2010Sorry folks – back next week!

Sparked off by the distinctive British sound of one track, I was minded to create a show with a wholly UK-style sound. I think it worked quite well, guv! Once again, I was also intending to do a shorter show but ended up hitting the usual length. Me & my mouth, eh?

In contrast to the last few shows, this is a more stripped-back, acoustic-based set of songs from two old friends of the show and one new to the podcast. I almost scrapped the show after some technical issues, but I persevered and hopefully you’ll not notice the problems!

Back from the depths of ‘the bugs’, and hopefully now dealing only with the last stragglers, it’s time to get back to the podcasting. The mailbox backlog has been cleared, the tracks downloaded, and they’ll slowly be coming your way in the next few months.

By the end of this week, I should have my flat back in order & every item of clothing that Jasna & I own washed, dried, ironed & put away. This’ll just be in time for the pest control guy to come back on Friday to do an inspection. Although I’m hoping for an all-clear, events over the last two weeks are making it look unlikely & I may have to go through the whole trauma & upheaval once again – although I live in hope. I’ll keep you posted.
Anyway, I’m fully intending to record a show in some shape or form by the end of this week for publication on Tues 28th (unforeseen circumstances permitting, of course!)
See you all then – feel free to email, comment or send in requests in the meantime 🙂
I’m unable to record because of the constant noise of my washing machine churning & spinning – I have a 4ft pile of sealed bags in the bath containing every item of clothing in the flat, and must wash & dry every item at high temperature before returning it to its wardrobe / drawer.
Oh, the fun of having the place treated for bed-bugs is never-ending 🙁
I’ll try my best to get recording again asap once the backlog is cleared, and I’ll keep you posted on the ETA of the next show. Thanks for bearing with me and the recent sporadic recording schedule.

Originally mooted for last week’s abandoned show, it’s time to dip into the big bag of unplayed tracks that’s slowly building up to levels where I’ll never get everything played if I don’t play a pile of them now. So – 7 tracks from 5 bands in just over 30 minutes. Part 2, with a more laid-back feel, is next week. On your marks… get set… GO!
