Short break in transmission whilst I move file hosts

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Apologies for the unscheduled break so soon after getting going again in 2011. As I mentioned on the show, I’m having to move all 220-plus podcast media files from Libsyn hosting to my own site. As you can imagine, this is not a quick job and it’s tying up my PC & laptop for hours every night.

I’m just over half-way there now, and once that’s done I’ll have to back up my WordPress databases before attempting to replace every single reference to my mp3 file location with the new one!

Keep your fingers crossed that I don’t stuff THAT up :-O

I’l be back as soon as that’s all finished; see you then.

Show 229 – A Local Show for Global People

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

Listen here or use the player on the right, though I’d love you to subscribe !

A rare treat this week, with three local bands (from Leith & Edinburgh) featuring. It’s been quite a while since this has happened, and it’s great to see that the local area is still capable of producing excellent new artists. If you’re local, or know anyone local that you’ve not heard on the podcast, give me a shout and I’ll see what I can do.

Letters – ‘Pipe Dreams’

Arran Arctic – ‘Daniel’

Thank You So Nice – ‘Running On Empty’

Letters – ‘Grand National’

The soundbed was ‘Solaris XL’ by Bryan El
