Originally mooted for last week's abandoned show, it's time to dip into the big bag of unplayed tracks that's slowly building up to levels where I'll never get everything played if I don't play a pile of them now. So – 7 tracks from 5 bands in just over 30 minutes. Part 2, with a more laid-back feel, is next week. On your marks... get set... GO!

Somewhere in the world, lots of men are kicking balls about. Everywhere else, millions of people are getting needlessly over-excited about the whole thing, and boring the pants off those of us who have zero interest in the whole sport. In this week's show, there's a complete lack of football, which is exactly as it should be. Instead, there's another squad of great bands for you this week and not a vuvuzela within earshot.

Another hot Friday, another hot selection of the best new indie music around. It may have cooled & been chucking it down by the time you listen, but Three From Leith contains the essence of great weather to accompany three great bands!

It must have been the heat – but I was feeling decidedly funky by the end of the week. So what better way to round it off with a selection of funky, chunky 'choons' to get those feet a'tappin' & to help you 'git on up' and strut your funky stuff? That's precisely what you get with this week's show. Heat, funk and pointless blathering :-)

With some Celtic Belgian Punks, some US-based South Africans and an indie/pop singer-songwriter from West Yorkshire, it's an eclectic bag of locations this week. Still fantastic fun, though.
This week I seem to be sounding a little strange; perhaps I'm a little croaky and have a frog in my throat? Actually, it's your guest host Graham Holland from the “It's A Frog's Life Acoustic Podcast” swapping shows with me as part of the AMP Great Easter Podswap. If you click on the link to Graham's site, you may find me in unfamiliar surroundings on his lilypad in Liverpool doing an all-acoustic show. Enjoy the show – I certainly did and I'm sure you'll agree that Graham made a fabulous honorary TFL host. Thanks, Graham!

Back after a two-week gap, it's straight into great music from bands who've all made appearances on the podcast in the past. There's a dedication to a listener & her family, blethering and one big omission – the fact that next week, the show will have a guest host as part of the AMP Great Easter Podswap.
It's been a while since I've thrown a real curve-ball on the podcast, but this week I've done exactly that. Genres not usually played on Three From Leith have converged into one show – hopefully you'll enjoy it! There's also news of an interesting 'swap' coming your way this Easter. What is it? Listen and find out.

Stanley Odd – 'Think Of A Number'
Dear Martin – 'American In Me'

Make time for this week's podcast, as time for ourselves is something that we seem to be losing on an ever-increasing basis these days.

European Podcast Awards – drop me a vote if you want!

I've just had another email from the EPA organisers saying that I've been nominated again - whether this means that this is a new competition or still the one from last year, I'm not sure. However, if you felt like voting for me then you can do so here. It takes a second and there's a 'skip' link on the page which asks you whether you want to sign up for the mailing list.

I'd really appreciate your support if you felt that the podcast was worth voting for :-)

Thanks.
